SERIA DEUS O CULPADO?
J.B. Xavier

Isso não é um animal,
Distante, assim, da abastança.
Essa foto aí de cima,
Não é bicho, é uma criança!

Diga-me lá! O que sente
O leitor – mesmo o durão –
Ao ver criança comendo
O que sobrou de um cão?

Eu não quero colocar
A culpa disso em ninguém,
Mas se nós não temos culpa,
Ele, então, é que não tem!

Como a nossa sociedade
Que se diz desenvolvida
Pode desprezar assim
O nascedouro da vida?

Por onde andarás, meu Deus?
De onde virão esperanças?
Senão de nosso futuro,
Senão de nossas crianças?

Estamos nos transformando
Em bárbaros, nada mais,
Ao tratarmos as crianças
Como reles animais.

Aliás, que me perdoem,
Não deixamos nosso cão
Viver assim na miséria
De ter que comer do chão!

E se acaso vemos um
Cãozinho sentindo dor
Corremos a cuidar dele,
Dando-lhe teto e amor!

Mas a criança faminta
Comendo restos do chão
Nada diz à nossa alma
Nem nos toca o coração.

De fato todos nós temos
Sempre pronta uma desculpa
Que nos exima de tudo
Que possa parecer culpa.

Então, quem é o culpado?
Se não somos nós,  talvez
O Presidente, o empresário
A mídia, a Elite da vez?

Mas as crianças lá estão,
Comendo tal qual os cães
Sem saber por onde andam
Os seus pais ou suas mães.

Talvez os culpados sejam
Políticos fariseus?
Se ninguém assume a culpa,
Vai ver, a culpa é de Deus!

WOULD BE GOD GUILTY?
JB Xavier

This is not an animal,
Or a vermin crazy and wild.
This picture you see above,
Is not an animal, it’s a child!

Tell me how would you feel
Seeing children in a bog

eating a disgusting food
In the place where did it a dog?

I really don’t  want to put
The blame over a discourse,
But if we do not have guilt,
Neither he has, of course.

How it’s possible our society
Developed like we said,
Despise an human being
Without let it go ahead?

Wherever are you, my God?
Where will hope comes from?
If it’s not comes from our children
Of which other place does it will come?

We are transforming ourselves
In barbarians, without goals,
When we consider our children
Nothing more than animals .

By the way, you too, forgive me,
But we do not let our dog
Living like this child, in misery
Eating on the floor like a hog!

And if we see near us a dog
Just like the boy above
We rushed to take care of him,
And it'l have all our love!

But the poor and hungry child
Eating leftovers awful and tart
Nothing it says to our souls
Neither it touches our heart.

In fact we all use to have
Always ready gentle excuses
with the ones we absolve ourselves
Hiding carefully our refuses.

So who's the guilty in this question?

If we aren’t so, perhaps,
The President, some entrepreneur
The media, our someone relapse?

But the children still are there,
Just eating with dog and others,
Not knowing where to go
Their fathers or even their mothers.

Perhaps the culprits are
in somewhere  from abroad?
If nobody takes the blame,
Maybe the guilty is God!
